You'll be reported to teledera.

Another really cute bit is the little girl that appears in quite a few scenes. Nothing is ever said between them, but the girl always has her eyes on him. He doesn't seem to notice, except for the last scene when he is leaving his kampung and he looks up at her in farewell. Homage to a childhood romance, perhaps?

I love this book as well as Town Boy. I never tire of reading them. Wish I could have lived such a simple life.

Cheers
Thong.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03282207764753200258noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5403017110948354453.post-3268990091037143322008-09-05T06:35:00.000+08:002008-09-05T06:35:00.000+08:00Buku Untuk Filem?Buku Untuk Filem?Bin Filemhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01070099078525468889noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5403017110948354453.post-90122815920324111162008-09-05T06:27:00.000+08:002008-09-05T06:27:00.000+08:00This comment has been removed by the author.

OK, nanti aku SMS nombor SBT.Allan Koay 郭少樺https://www.blogger.com/profile/06520221332029467739noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5403017110948354453.post-51206925797432045672008-09-04T13:43:00.000+08:002008-09-04T13:43:00.000+08:00Fadz pun kena buat Buku Untuk Filem. Kampung Boy is a true Malaysian classic, and you've said everything about it that I've ever wanted to say, so now I can just direct people to this review when I want to talk about it! It is indeed a generous work, in every sense of the word. And now when you look back it, a sharp sense of loss tempers that "concrete and lively" nostalgia.

-- PreetaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5403017110948354453.post-84264958406096441132008-09-03T20:48:00.000+08:002008-09-03T20:48:00.000+08:00dammit, this reminds me of the fucker who borrowed...dammit, this reminds me of the fucker who borrowed some of my Lat graphic novels, including Kampung Boy and Town Boy, and never returned them!!! and now i learn that the original is different from the new version! double damn!!Allan Koay 郭少樺https://www.blogger.com/profile/06520221332029467739noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5403017110948354453.post-86955837698756013592008-09-03T17:11:00.000+08:002008-09-03T17:11:00.000+08:00semasa kecil, i'm into ujang aku budak minang (eve...semasa kecil, i'm into ujang aku budak minang (eventhough i'm not one ;)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5403017110948354453.post-24605528860245275492008-09-03T16:36:00.000+08:002008-09-03T16:36:00.000+08:00Lat's Kampung Boy / Budak Kampung - original vs pr...Lat's Kampung Boy / Budak Kampung - original vs present comparisonAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5403017110948354453.post-69437786205505964432008-09-03T16:28:00.000+08:002008-09-03T16:28:00.000+08:00Hmm. I discovered this while flipping through the US version. Had to check the local editions to see whether it was only the US version but even the local editions had been changed. The change in the art style is very noticeable.

Anyone knows why Lat removed that page? I think he shouldn't have done that.Ted Mahsunhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13555225524434639998noreply@blogger.com
